Sanditon

Guess what?!?!?!?! I found another Jane Austen book! And how I'm supposed to pronounce it, I have no idea.....But the name of it is Sanditon "Ooooo" "Ahhhh" (you may applaud...) Sanditon is the last completed novel of Jane's.....even though she didn't complete it, it was completed by someone else, "Another Lady" is what she is called. And the writing styles are surprisingly different, where as Austen has very elaborate, and fluffy words, "Another Lady", (Let's call her ummm....Bob!) uses cliff hangers and a more contemporary writing style. But to wrap this up, I would totally recommend this book to anyone! Oh...and I'm falling in love with Sidney (One of the characters) So my thanks to Jane and Bob!

The Last Song

Finally! A book worth blogging about! Lately I just can't find a good book! Until Now! THE LAST SONG! Ahhhhh this book was soooo refreshing after reading a very cheesy trilogy(if you can even call it that) called The Door Within (the name is even cheesy) hmmm I don't agree with books that end with all the characters dieing....But anyways! Back to the good book! After seeing the movie The Last Song (which was good, but not near as good as the book, I later figured out!) I was inspired to read the book, and I did! I could hardly put it down! It took about all I had to put it down and go to bed at 1:30 in the morning.....And even though while reading it I couldn't stop picturing Miley Cyrus (shiver) I LOVED it!

PERCY!

Okay, I found another book I want to read, It has probably the longest title in the world, it's Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, I saw the movie, and want to read the book so bad! I love watching the movie first, and then reading the book, to see what the do wrong in the movie, because the always get something wrong, I mean, in Eragon the movie, Arya has red hair, yet in the book, BLACK! *shaking head* Never trust the movie. But back to Percy...I know from the back of the book, that he is twelve...well in the movie, he is in high school...they've already got that wrong. I'm so glad there's five in the series, it's almost enough to keep me occupied for a week. Percy...The name is growing on me.

Jane Eyre

Again thanks to British Lit. I had to watch the movie Jane Eyre, then a few weeks later watch the play Jane Eyre.....And loved it! It is about this girl named Jane Eyre (duh), who is orphaned at a young age, and sent to live at a boarding school, and years later is a governess to a wealth man, named Mr. Rochester. I am now reading the book, which is so different then the last book I read, The Hunger Games, which was also good, but still different. So from the girl that has seen the movie, seen the musical, and is reading the book, Jane Eyre is awesome!

British Lit.

Okay...The reason I haven't posted on books I am actually reading lately....is....British Literature/Ethics....BLAH! Well British Lit. isn't bad, I kinda like it (Mom ignore that last statement) I mean, I get to read books, like The Mayor Of Casterbridge, Pride And Prejudice, and um....a bunch of other ones, that are not coming to mind. But Ethics on the other hand.....TERRIBLE (Ignore that one too).

The Hunger Games...Part Two

Okay, remember a few posts back, when I was talking about the book The Hunger Games....Well i got to read it. It was awesome! I loved it! Now I can't wait to read the next book Catching Fire, but the library is full of requests on that book....Which makes me sad. What also makes me sad is that after I finish that one...I'll have to wait on the other, The Mockingjay.....And lets just say patience is not one of my virtues.

The Card

Let me tell you about a card....it's a wonderful card....Though it has few uses...The ones it has, are beautiful. It is not a credit card, by all means, it is so much better. It opens a doorway to a whole new world, many worlds actually. I was blessed with my card last year, and the world looks brighter still. Since then I have travelled all the way to Scotland, and France, and further still, all through the power of the card (Angels singing) It's name is actually very simple, though before I tell you, I just want to know....did you guess it before? Kt don't answer that! IT'S A LIBRARY CARD! Quite evident from the theme of the blog.....Maybe a little bit exaggerated, but oh well. The library is awesome! Yeah I know me saying that probably labels me as a complete dork, but I don't care. Some people have an obsession with music(coughcough Kt) But I have one with books.

Jane Austen

I love Jane Austen! I have read all of her novels, and they are amazing! Well except for Mansfield Park....Lets just say BORING! I thought it would never end! Like five hundred pages of AHHHH! But besides that one, all her books are great! My personal favorite is either Pride And Prejudice or Emma . I think the fact that eight-year-olds have a better vocabulary than me, and use it in the proper sentences, is hilarious. I love how you can feel what she is feeling,and experienced, through her books. And if you're a hopeless romantic like I am, then Mr. Darcy will be your hero. And now to end my rambling I shall put a few of my favorite words from the books on here. The first being Non-Sensical, and secondly Stupefied...I really don't know why, I just do.
